St. Joseph church at Kohalpur set on fire on 4th of May 018 An unidentified group set fire to St Joseph Catholic church of Kohalpur , Nepaljung, set on fire on Friday night of 4th of May 018. According to the member of Assumption church of Jawalkhel, nearly at 1:00 AM an unidentified group with arms entered in the premises of church, they threatened Father Promod Toppo and set fire. To collect the information Bishop of Catholic church Paul Siimik and Director of Caritas Nepal Father Silash Bogoti has moved to Nepaljung on 5th of May 018 Six Christians, arrested at Terathum (10-May 018) On 10th of May 018, six Christian people, who were on way preaching, were arrested in Aathrai Sankranti Bazaar, Terathum district. Among them, Mr. Dinesh Subba , Asish Subba, Dipak Subba and Mantula Dhimal are from Jhapa district, Mr. Bhupal Rai from Sikkim and Mrs. Pawan Rai from West Bengal India. According to the Police authority, they were on way preaching on Wednesday 9th of May 018 using Indian plate vehicle. Fire was set at Hebron church at Panchthar (10 May 018) Hebron church, located at Himhang Village Palika ward no. 6 in Panchthar district, province # 1 was set on fire in morning of 10 May 018, Thursday. At 4:00 AM, some unidentified intruders entered inside the church hall with breaking windowpane, set fire and ran out. Nearby people after noticing the fire (smoke raise) on the church informed to the Police authority. So the Police personnel jointly with the local people put off the fire according to Raj Lowa, the local inhabitant. The fire consumed the carpet and some furniture in the church hall. A Bomb was blasted at Mahima Chruch of Dhangadi (10 Ma 018) On 12 of May 018, a bomb was blast inside Mahima church of Dhangadi sub-metro ward no 4 Taranagar. According to Pastor Birendra Kariya , around at 11:00 PM unidentified group broke the windowpane and put cooker bomb (IED), after blasting the bomb they ran off. The blast damaged some wardrobe, tables and furniture and three windowpanes, however there is no any human casualties. The Police personnel arrived after the bomb blast and made physical investigation, the District Administration Office, Dhangadi has committed to investigate the criminal group.
Emmanuel church was set on fire at Doti (12 May 018) On 12 of May, Emmanuel church of Joryal Village Palilka, ward no 2 Buder, Doti was set on fire by unidentified group. On the telephonic interview of Turahi News, Pastor Syam Thapa said that an unidentified group came at 10:00 PM and set fire at the main entrance of the Church causing damage of 2 Lakhs of loss, however there is no any human casualty. He called the police authority after seeing the huge smoke at the church. Immediately the police authority of Buder arrived and put off the fire. The police authority of Buder is investigating the case Fire set on Emmnuael Prathna Church of Kanchanpur (12 May 018) On 12 of May 018, Emmanuel Prathna church of Krishnapur municipality ward no 2, Kanchanpur district was set on fire by an unidentified group. According to the information of Pastor Dhirendra Rana, an unidentified group trespassed the church premises on Friday night and set fire. He discovered the incident only on the next day (Saturday) at 8:00 AM when he opened the church- hall to conduct the Sunday school class. 22-March 018- FNCN; A felicitation cum get-together, program was organized by FNCN @ Sadhobato, office especially to felicitate Pastor Nima Ghising, who was appointed earlier as “Head of Diaspora Coordination Dept.” responsible for coordinating and mobilizing FNCN Brand Ambassadors. On this occasion he was awarded a certificate of “Head of Diaspora Coordination Dept.” by FNCN- President C.B. Gahatraj and put on ‘Khada’ by the Officials. In the meeting was started with Opening prayer of Co-Chairperson Rev. Samuel Sodemba.
In the meeting, Pastor Nima Ghising praised the work of FNCN and it’s commitment towards the right and dignity of Nepali Christians. On 6 of March 018, a team of Federation of National Christian Nepal, comprising President C.B. Gahatraj, Gen. Gahatraj, personally thanked and awarded a certificate of honour to the Head of Prayer Dept. -FNCN Mrs. Deuw Maya Tamang and Ms. Gun Maiya Balami of Lidia Prayer Fellowship, for their vital support and contribution in managing, the choir team while performing on 25-Dec, celebration of Christmas program at Rastrya Sava Grija and on the Christmas cum New year greetings exchange program on 1st of Jan 018, in the hall of Hon. Vice President office. During the speech, President of FNCN said that the God always does the good thing, and in the same way, the God did the good thing in this Christmas 017. So, he thanked God. Being Chief Guest, honourable Vice-President, Nanda Badhur Pun, lighted the lamp-stand and opened the program formally. The program was chaired by the FNCN-President, Mr. C.B. Gahatraj. Members of Women Dept. of FNCN put welcome lapel-badges and distributed buckeye flowers to the distinguished guests. The opening prayer was conducted by Director of Eastern Church Nepal Bishop, Hem Chandra Sharma. Welcome songs and Christmas songs were led by the Head of Prayer Dept. 02 – Dec 2017, KTM On 30th November 2017, the government of Nepal has announced Christmas (25 Dec 2017, Monday), as a public holiday and that is effective to all government offices in Nepal and in abroad. In this regard first of all thanks and honour goes to our Almighty God, and henceforth FNCN extends gratitude to the Nepal government, its officials, diplomatic agencies and all stakeholders who supported and put the effort in the process and who made an unceasing prayer. In this very occasion, FNCN has organized a short “Mass thanksgiving prayer meet” at Putalisadak Bethshalom church, Kathmandu on 02-Dec, 2017, time 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. The MC of the program was General Secretary, Pastor Padam Nath Parajuli, opening prayer was conducted by President of N.C.F.N Rev. Hanok Tamang, followed by Present & Worship lead by the Head of Prayer Dept. Ms. Dewmaya Tamang. Rev. Samuel Sodemba welcomed dignitaries and attendants. FNCN Co-Gen. Secretary cum Spoke Person, Pastor, Sagar Bainju briefed on the subject and objective of the program. Co-Chairman, Dr. Philomen Chettri shared the encouraging message from the word of God. 01 December 2017 Lalitpur, An emergency meeting of Federation of National Christian Nepal is held in the Chairmanship of President Mr. C.B. Gahatraj at National Office. In the meeting, all attendants thanked the Almighty God as the Nepal Government has announced Christmas as a public holiday to be observed by all the government agencies in Nepal in abroad. In this occasion, it was decided to organize a mass gathering for thanksgiving and prayer event at Putalisdak, Bethsalom Church on 02 December 2017 at 2:00 PM in the same way it is decided to organize Thanksgiving and prayer meeting at all the FNCN district level. In the same meeting, it was decided to appoint FNCN Brand Ambassador in Hong Kong to the Chairman of Hong Kong Nepali Christian Council, Rev. James Korangi. The Coordinator of Christmas Celebration Core Committee, Pastor Tej Rokka, briefed regarding the latest development of the preparation of Christmas 2017. 20-November 2017- The meeting of central committee members of Federation of National Christian Nepal is held in the new location (of office) at Sadthdobato, Lalitpur. The meeting is also meant to dedicate the new office setup. The program was conducted by General Secretary of FNCN, Pastor Padamnath Parajuli. The program was formally started after the opening prayer of Rev. Dr. Philemon Chettri. The Program was chaired by President of FNCN Mr. C.B. Gahatraj. Rev. In this occasion, certificates were awarded to the new Board Members. The Secretary of FNCN and Coordinator of Christmas Core Committee, Pastor Tej Bahadur Rokka briefed on the progress in the preparation of Christmas 2017. The Meeting approved Pastor Devi Lal Shrestha as Central Member cum Head of Youths Department. 16-November 017- on the coordination of the District Federation of National Christian Nepal-Salyan the five jail released Christians were warmly welcomed and felicitated at the Sinai Church of Khalanga, Sarada Municipality of Salyan district. There were almost 200 people from nearby and distant churches. The welcome program started at 11:30 AM, conducted by Pastor Silash Tamrakar. Pastor Jit Bahadur Rokka prayed an opening prayer and blessed the program then choir worshipped, lead by Pradeep Sunar. The Program was chaired by Pastor Hira Tamrakar, Chief Guest was President of FNCN Mr. C.B. Gahatraj, and Main Guest was Mayor of Sarada Municipality, Mr. Suresh Adhikari. The Secretary of Freedom for All, Mr. Oli said that he is supportive of the Christian people because they live in faith and it is the part of the Human right. He also commented his support and help will be always in the case of such suppression from the government or any authority. The President of FNCN Mr. C.B. Gahatraj said that this is the victory of not only Salyan people, but it is the victory of all Christian of Nepal and FNCN is always for the right, dignity of Christian. He thanked the God and put all the credit goes to God for this victory. At the end, the five jail released people were warmly welcomed by all the attendants they were put garlands and put Khada. On 13- Nov. 017 – Dr. Prakash Megi Gurung, Coordinator of International Baptist Council, who is contributing a lot to God’s ministry from a long time residing in USA is facilitated by FNCN. On his short trip to Nepal, the Federation of National Christian Nepal invited him at office and facilitated there. On this auspicious occasion ex-officio, including President, Vice-Chairpersons, General Secretary, Co-Chairman, Secretary, Co-Secretary and staffs were present. The General Secretary Pastor Padamnath Parajuli conducted the welcome program then Co-Chairman Rev. Samuel Sodemba conducted opening prayer. In the program, President, C.B. Gahatraj handed Dr. Gurung a certificate of “Member of Diaspora Coordination Committee” in USA of FNCN. President C.B. Gahatraj told, FNCN can work in-partnership or in collaboration with Nepal Baptist Council for the wellbeing of the Christian community in Nepal. After the welcome, Dr. Gurung explained that he is happy with FNCN and appreciated the work of FNCN. On 8 Nov 017, a team of FNCN comprising President C.B. Gahatraj, Vice-Chairperson cum Head of International Department Ms Anna Paedon and Admin Officer, Santosh Khadka met US officials in Kathmandu, Lajimpat. The Team of US officials was represented by Foreign Affairs officer ROBIN SCHULMAN, Office of International Religious Freedom , Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, U.S. Department of State, Washington DC, Mr. Christopher Gooch, Political Officer, Embassy of US in Nepal and Mr. Jay Nepali, Human Right Officer, US Embassy in Nepal. In the meeting, the President of FNCN briefed on the establishment of FNCN, it was formally formed as an Advisory Committee to incorporate the Christian Issues (to be addressed) in Constitutional Assembly of a new constitution of Nepal 2007. In that regard, the FNCN conducted a national-wide assessment, which dug out the basic problems and issues of Christians and suggested accordingly to the government. Later on, it was realized that all efforts should be consolidated and keep the voice raise for the right and existence, so in-order-to do that the Advisory Committee is duly registered with the government in 2011 in the name of Federation of National Christian Nepal. The FNCN has signed the 3 and 6 points agreements with the Nepal Government regarding the religious freedom, secularism, provision of burial land sites (across the country), reorganization of the Churches as free institutions and registration like (guthi) and to form the High Commission to carry out the tasks. So far, FNCN has established its contact points in 75 districts as well as appointed Brand Ambassadors in abroad. In 2016, FNCN has played a vital role to set free eight Christians from Dolkha district. And in September 2017, FNCN has set free five Christians from Salyan district, who were sentenced 5 years of jail and NPR 50,000 as fine (in 14 months). In April 17, (unidentified group) set fire at the Assumption Church, Lalitpur, the government demolished a Church with a bulldozer at Budhanilakantha, Kathmandu, Mr. Santosh Khadka, Admin Officer – FNCN was shot at the back while returning home from the office (which government hasn’t made any action yet). The inclusion of forcibly conversion of religion in the recently passed bill of criminal acts, some Christians made protests and created confusion, (putting in media and press) which is per their own vested interest. In this regard, FNCN has organized awareness raising/interaction meeting of the legal experts with the general public to make it clear. This act has ensured the security of the religious freedom since it has mentioned and applicable only to those who promote forcibly conversion of religion. And FNCN is against the forcibly conversion. To make it clear for general Christian people, FNCN is going to conduct interaction/awareness raising program across the country.By:
03 -November 2017- Kathmandu, on the Chairmanship of FNCN Central Women Department-Chairperson Doma Rai, a meeting is held at the National Office of FNCN. The meeting started after the prayer of Rev. Dr. Philimon Khadka Chettri. In the meeting Co-Chairperson, Dr. Sarita Giri Thapa said that a choir team will be formed from the youths of churches in Kathmandu for the Praise & Worship. The meeting has decided following things; i. Dr. Rev. Philemon Khadka Chettri will speak from the word of God, the meaning of the birth of Jesus. ii. Work division and responsibility sharing among the Central Committee has been done to organize the program. iii FNCN has requested all Pastors and church leaders to attend the Christmas program from every church and Christian institutions to make the program successful.

01 Nov 2017 Wednesday, KTM- Federation of National Christian Nepal has conducted a press conference at Reporters Club of Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The objective of press conference is to make clear on the act regarding the crime on religion, which has just passed by the CA. And there were a lot of rumors and misinterpretation of the acts in news and social media. General Secretary Pastor Padamnath Parajuli cleared that the bills regarding religion is not inserted in criminal acts. The Vice Secretary cum Spoke person Ps. Sagar Bainzu commented, that it would be better, that the criminal act should be in social act. This act does not hinder or deter any minority groups or Christian community. In the meeting, President of FNCN Mr. C.B. Gahatraj explained that, the constitution has guaranteed freedom of religion. According to the census of 2068 (BS) the state has recognized 10 religion thus it has responsibility of protection and take-care as guardian. He added, only forcibly proselytizing or imposing is punishable, so every communities of different religion must follow the constitution He urged to practice as per own religion and for the protection of minority community he requested Christian community and other religion community not to follow the rumors and wrong information. President also cleared regarding the criminal act, is not antagonist to us, it is only applicable for the forcibly proselytizing and FNCN is not on the favor of such action.

On 30 -October 2017, a team of Federation of National Christian Nepal has met and submitted memorandum to Honorable Prime Minister regarding the issues of Christian community at PM residence, Baluwatar. In the memorandum, FNCN demanded to form a High Commission to initiate and implement 3 points and 6 points of agreements signed between Government of Nepal and FNCN. The issues of Christian Community like provision of burial sites and announcement of Christmas as public holiday since 2007 to be continued are also included in the memorandum. The memorandum is submitted to the Honorable Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in the presence of Senior Leader of Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Paudyal, Patry General Secretary Sasank Koirala, Leader Bimalendra Nidhi, Leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula and Leader Arjun Narshingh K.C. In the Leadership of FNCN President, C.B. Gahataraj, a team included, Co-Chairperson Rev. Samuel Sodemba, Co-Chairperson, Rita Thapa Magar, Co- Chairperson Pastor Tejman Tamang, Vice-Chairperson Rev. Babu Ram Hinghmang, Vice-Chairperson Anna Paedon, General Secretary Padam Natah Parajuli, Secretary Pastor Tej Bahadur Rokka, Secretary Pastor Hem Bahadur Thapa , Vice-Secretary cum Spoke person Pastor Sagar Baizu and Head of Prayer Department Deumaya Tamang met the Prime Minster. Regarding the question on newly passed bill of criminal, the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba assured the attendants, that the bill is not against to any religious community. He also added that Christian community should be positive and hopeful and do their practice as per their belief and not to follow any hoax or rumors. In the same meeting, the Prime Minister assured FNCN team to form a High Commission, make provision for burial sites across the country and announce Christmas as Public holiday as per the agreement signed between Government and FNCN as soon as possible.

The meeting was followed by the prayer of Co-Chairperson Dr. Sarita Giri Thapa. Pastor Rokka briefed on the preparation of Christmas program among all the member of “Christmas Celebrating Core Committee”. In the meeting, work division was done among the ex-officio in-order-to make the Christmas program of 2017 successful. On 24 Oct 017, a meeting of Central Special Executive Committee of FNCN was held on the Chairmanship of Mr. C.B. Gahatraj, President of FNCN at National Office. The meeting was started after the opening prayer of Rev. Dr. Philemon Chettri. The Committee has promoted some members in Central C ommittee and made some changes in their responsibilities. According to the constitution of FNCN, Rev. Kaji Ratna Maharjan was appointed as Co-Chairperson, Rev. Reji Lama was appointed as Vice-Chairperson, Pastor Hem Thapa was appointed as Central Secretary and Mr. Prem Subba as member of Central Committee with specific responsibility of Head of Planning and Resource Development Department. As per the provision of appointing Brand Ambassador, FNCN appointed Pastor Maya Sunuwar as Brand Ambassador of Israel and Pastor Mingmar Jung Gurung as International Advisor. The decision of appointment was agreed by majority in the meeting. A Christmas Celebrating Core Committee of 21 members is formed in the coordination of Secretary Pastor Tej Bahadur Rokka to organize the Christmas event of 2017. Woman department will organize “Christmas Wishing” event on 20 December. The program organized by inter-religion department will be on the Chairmanship of Ps. Jonnah Yonjan, Department Head. The motorcycle rally and other programs will be organized under the Christmas Celebrating Core Committee. Regarding the National gathering, a meeting will be called on the coordination of Rev. Dr. Philemon Chettri.

25th Sep 2017 Today, Federation of National Christian Nepal (FNCN) has organized a Thanksgiving and Prayer program on the occasion of clean given by the High Court of Surkhet to the falsely accused and imprisoned Christians namely Rup Lal Pariyar, Ganga Pariyar, Lali Pun and Bimkali Budha. The program was started with the starting prayer by Co-President Dr. Philemon Chhetri. President C.B. Gahatraj had chaired the program and was well conducted by Secretary Pastor Tej Bahadur Rokka. Senior Pastor of Koinonia Patan Church Rev. Dr. Mangal Man Maharjan, International Advisor of FNCN Pastor Rajesh Tiwari and the Secretary of Freedom for All Nepal; Human Rights Activist Mr. Khagendra Oli were presented as the guests in the program. General Secretary of FNCN Pastor Padam Nath Parajuli welcomed all the guests and participants whereas Co-General Secretary Pastor Sagar Baizu presented the Press Releases in the theme entry session. He also presented the description of obstacles and challenges faced by FNCN during the case procedure. Rev. Dr. Mangal Man Maharjan had shared an inspiring sermon. The victims Rup Lal Pariyar and Lali pun had shared their testimony with the suffering story during the imprisoned period and the miraculous work done by God in their life. Human Rights Activist Mr. Khagendra Oli shared his experience that he received from the field study of this case and gave his commitment to being always supportive for Christian Community in the future too. FNCN’s Central Committee Member Bal Bahadur Tamrakar had given the brief description of the case and the offering was collected to support the victims. President Mr. C.B. Gahatraj had thanked all the participants for devoting their valuable time in the program. The ending prayer of the program was made by the International Secretary Pastor Rajesh Tiwari. Case History: The 5 members of the Samuel Church, Salyan, namely Mr. Rup Lal Pariyar, Ganga Pariyar, Lali Pun, Bimkali Budha and Rupa Thapa were falsely accused by Salyan District court on 19th. May 2016. Regarding the case, on December 19th, 2016, the court had released the victim Rupa Thapa and other remaining 4 victims were given the verdict of 5 years rigorous prison with a fine of Nrs. 50,000.00 each (Fifty Thousand each). In order to find out the actual fact, a team of Federation of National Christian Nepal (FNCN) led by President Mr. C.B. Gahatraj comprising human rights activist and journalist had worked by visiting the Salyan headquarters and meeting with all the stakeholders of the case. According to the report and the decision of case study team, on 19th Feb 2017, Co-General Secretary/Spokesperson of FNCN Pastor Sagar Baizu and Advocate Balaram Timilsina had filed a case in Higher Court, Surkhet to set free the victims. Regarding the case filed by FNCN, on 10th Sep. 2017, a joint team of High Court Surkhet’s Judges honorable Mahesh Sharma Paudel and honorable Krishna Thapa has invalidated the verdict made on 19th Dec. 2016 by District Court, Salyan and all 4 victims were set free from their remaining imprisonment.

The program was being chaired by President of FNCN Mr. C.B. Gahatraj and the Minister of General Administration Honorable Tek Bahadur Bansnet was presented as a Chief Guest in the program. Likewise Political leader of CPNUML, ex-tourism minister Honorable Anand Pokhrel and the leader of Nepali Congress Honorable Ram Hari Khatiwada were as a special guest. In the course of welcome speech, General Secretary and Spokesperson of FNCN Pastor Sagar Baizu said that the 7th Constitution of Nepal is 2 years old now, let’s hope that this constitution may be the stable one. Chief guest as well as other guests told that the Secularism’s character is to treat all religious groups equally. They focused on practical implementation of Constitution to assure the religious, cultural, societal and linguistic rights of the citizen. At the end, President Mr. Gahatraj greeted and thanked all by saying that the 7th Constitution of Nepal may address the issues of all religion & sects and may strengthen the state and develop the nation. Sep.5,2017, Kathmandu Federation of National Christian Nepal (FNCN) has organized an interaction program among the Pastors and leaders of the various organization, regarding the bill passed by Nepalese Parliament recently. The program was chaired by President Mr. C.B. Gahatraj, initial prayer by Co-President Dr. Philemon Chhetri and operated by Secretary Pastor Tej Bahadur Rokka. Parliament member Honorable Ram Narayan Bidari was presented as a Chief guest. The Chairman of Islamic community Mr. Khusid Alam, Director of Bani Nepal Dr. Samit Ahamad, Secretary of Freedom for All Mr. Khagendra Oli and constitutional expert Advocate Dharma Raj Regmi were presented as a guest in the program. The youth group of Ashish Church, Samakhusi had demonstrated the welcome dance and the speech was delivered by General Secretary Pastor Padam Nath Parajuli. Co-General Secretary Pastor Sagar Baizu had presented the brief information of the program. Program facilitator Advocate Dharma Raj Regmi had presented a worksheet about the Criminal Act subjected to religious conversion. He also addressed all the answers of the question raised by the participants. Regarding the rights of religious freedom, Advocate Regmi said that the section 26 of the Constitution has guaranteed each and every citizen to choose, practice and protect their own faith. He also stated that the criminal Code of Nepal is 425 years older than the Napoleon Code of France. Chief Guest Honorable Ram Narayan Bidari said that the bill passed now is not to punish the religious group but to protect them. He further said that the state will not regulate the religious groups, so never fear without knowing the fact. At the end, President Mr. C.B. Gahatraj gave thanks to all and ended the program. In the face of order to vacate the legally occupied Shiloam Tupek Church of Budanilkanth municipality and being used bulldozer to damage the premises of Church, a delegation members of Federation of National Christian Nepal, Human Right Activists, representative of Journalists initiated the mediatory dialogue with the presence of Human Right Activists and School Management Committee members. At Budanilkanth Municipality ward no. 13 under Chunikhel VDC ward no. 2 (k) K.No. 1, area 3-10-1-0. At this place, the family of Jujubhai Kapali had been living from 3 generations and there is also existed the Church in premises of the land. Now, at the same land, Noulin Madhymik School has been permitted to build the new school with the order of Budanilkanth Municipality, as per their letter 2073/08/07 dispatch no. 1030, and bulldozer has started to destroy the premises, as such Shiloam Tupek church who had been using the place was served an notice to vacate the land hereafter. In the light of the country has been declared as secular republic state, all had the right to safeguard religious place, so Christian community also reserve the right to protect their own faith center holy place of church and it is also the duty of state to ensure this right. It was also seen and felt that Christian community has been attacked one after another in well designed plan and encroaching their worshiping places. It has been appeal to all Christian brothers and sisters and all party to restrain and not to disturb religious harmony and good will and respect the citizen’s right of faith and move ahead in one with prayer for maintenance of peace and harmony.

Federation of National Christian Nepal, handed over the children of Salyan convicts to “House of Light, Nepal” (Jyotiko Ghar Nepal) for care, nurturing and protection. On Monday 22nd. May-2017; under the initiation of Federation of National Christian Nepal formally handed over the 2 children namely Rita Pariyar 9 years old daughter and 8 years old son named Samuel Pariyar of Salyan convicts Ruplal Pariyar (father) and Ganga Pariyar (mother). The above 2 children were handed over to a Child Care Center named as “House of Light Nepal” (Jyotiko Ghar Nepal) after Press Conference at the office at Federation located at Manbhawan Lalitpur, Kathmandu Nepal. All arrangements of care and nurturing have been made through the Child Care Center under the patronage of Federation for the duo children. The above two Children were handed over to Mr. Raj Jang Kunwar, who is the Director of the Child Care Center and hostel in charge Vikram Tamang. Consequently, Mr. Bal Bahadur Tamrakar the FNCN Central Committee Member of Province No. 6 gave information about the children and told that their parent were convicted in false case as they are ignorant and simple layman. He also further informed that these children have been looking after by their relative parental uncle Budhi Raj Pariyar and not been receiving any support from anywhere except Nrs. 2000/-(Nrs. Two Thousands only). The incident occurred in Ward No. 4 of Salyan Kupindey VDC and the Federation of National Christian Nepal has filed a case in high court of Surkhet seeking justice for the above innocent family. It was informed that there will be a hearing soon about this case.

The central committee meeting of Federation of National Christian Nepal held at Shalem Church, Budhnagar, Kathmandu; it was presided over by the FNCN Chairperson Mr. C.B.Gahatraj. 9 May 2017, Lalitpur Nepal, Awareness and interaction program on “Peace and Security” was organized by Federation of National Christian Nepal, FNCN at the Koinonia Patan Church in Lalitpur today. The chief guest SSP Mr. Thule Rai from the Lalitpur Police Council said that the Nepal police have been always there for the peace and security of the people. He also shared of how to keep alert and to keep secured of their flocks and of the community as well. </>Father Bogati of Assumption Church, Pastor Prakash Subba of Koinonia Patan Church and Vice President of FNCN Mrs. Rita Kabo also spoke at the program. The President of FNCN Mr. C.B. Gahatraj asked the Nepal Police and the Nepal government to guarantee the full security of all citizens of Nepal including the Christians. He also said that Nepal is a secular country and the Christians of Nepal have the right to share their faith and blessings they have received to others which cannot be interpreted as converting other faiths. He thanked all and formally concluded the program.</P> The General Secretary of FNCN, Pastor Padam Parajuli led the program. The program was started with the prayers of the Senior Pastor of Koinonia Patan Church Dr. Mangal Man Maharjan and the program was concluded with the prayers of Pastor Samuel Karthak of Nepali Isai Mandali. Subject as above, Federation of National Christian Nepal’s (FNCN) office secretary Mr. Santosh Khadka has been shot by an unknown group while heading for his resident from the central office of Manbhawan Lalitpur, on 16th. April, 2017, at 7pm and FNCN has seriously taken note about this incident. Federation of National Christian Nepal vehemently protests and speaks out against this cowardly act. At the centre of Lalitpur Municipality, the sudden attack to office secretary Mr. Santosh Khadka at 7pm on busy road while walking from office is an attack to the whole Christians community is what we have thought. The entire Christian Community have been shocked by this incident. While returning back to resident after finishing his office work Mr. Khadka was attacked at 100 meter distance from office is unforgiveable and deserve to speak out against it, no matter who have committed this act of cowardice. We caution to the concerned party not to commit such irresponsible act. Same time we also urge government of Nepal to form an independent fact finding committee and submit the report immediately and the culprit may be booked and punished. Since this incident happened in busy vicinity of capitol valley has added challenge to all Nepalese citizens about their right to walk around freely in peaceful environment. Hence, we demand to secure minimum human right by attracting the attention of Honorable Prime Minister, Home Minister and Security Division. Along with this we heartily appeal to Govt. of Nepal, to guarantee the protection of the basic human rights of all Christian community, churches and organizations as sooner possible. We also wish the rapid recovery of Mr. Khadka who has been seriously injured has undergone surgical removal of bullets is under treatment. Similarly, on April 18th., 2017, around 3 am an unidentified group has set ablazed and damaged 2 motor cycle and one 4 wheeler transportation media of Nepali Catholic Community of Dhobighat Assumption Church, Lalitpur. This has damaged the western door of Church and premises of priest quarter. FNCN expresses deep sorrow for the well planned attacked towards Christian Community one after another and demand fair and free investigation of this incident to government. Also we have humble request to all concerned, not to indulge in inhuman activities at holy prayer shrines and places that disturbs peace among minority religious groups and likely to discord harmonial relationship existed in the country. Finally, FNCN request to the GoN, political leaders, interfaith groups, human activists, diplomats, journalists, and all brothers and sisters, to enable to ensure minimum human right guarantee so that people can leave safely. If not, such activities abated and government does not take responsibility of security, we will be compelled to take national and international level movement to have the justice prevail to us is also being notified with this press release.

Honorable Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun inaugurated the ceremony and shared the Greeting speech of Christmas with the Christian community all over the world. He further said that the harmonious relation among the religious groups brings the prosperity in the Nation. Human rights activist Mr. Charan Prasai not only greeted for the Christmas but also appreciated the hard labour of FNCN to restore the public holiday of Christmas. Maoist leader Ms. Pampha Bhusal and Congress leader Mr. Khilnath Dahal also shared the Greeting speech of Christmas. Chairperson of FNCN Mr. C.B. Gahatraj shared greeting as well as thanked the Government of Nepal, leaders of political parties, human rights activists, diplomatic agencies, national and international organizations, journalist and all the brothers and sisters who have supported and strived to restore the public holiday of Christmas in Nepal. This incident was taken place and publicly broke out on 19th. May 2016, where a mentally abnormal ill Seti Pariyar was thrashed with stinging nettle and fed her stool while was brought at Samuel Church (NIM Gyneshwor Church branch) for prayer in Kubinde-4, Jiamire of Salyan District alleging her as witch(this story was fabricated by the local media). The members of the same Church namely Mr. Suklal Pariyar, Ganga Pariyar, Lali Pun, Bimkali Budha and Rupa Thapa were falsely accused by Salyan District court on 20th. December 2016 where releasing to victim Rupa Thapa other remaining 4 victims were given verdict of 5 years rigorous prison with a fine of Nrs. 50,000.00 each (Fifty Thousands each). In order to find out the actual facts about the incident, a delegation led by FNCN Chairperson Mr. CB Gahatraj with the team members comprising General Secretary, Pastor Padam Parajuli, Spoke person and vice General Secretary Sagar Baiju along with Human Right Representative and Journalist reached in Salyan District Headquarter on 5th. February, 2017. The delegation had interaction individually and in group with Chief District Officer, government lawyer, human right representative and rightists and journalists about the incident. Those prisoners in District Prison were met and enquired about the factual nature of incident from them had a group prayer given commitment to play a role to give needful help for them. Along with all that delegation also visited the incident site met Pastor Paul Sunar , elder Bhim Bahadur Budha and Kundan Thapa (Magar) and also taken detail description from those who were involve during the incident along with Rupa Thapa who was released. Hold an extensive interactory discussion with all the pastors of Salyan district about the incident and taken information from them and discussed and reminded to be cautious in future and be aware and remain in unity to avert such incident to happen. Having completed the week long investigation and study process the team returned back to Kathmandu and discussed and reviewed come to conclusion that it was done in plan way on the basis of being their Christian faith. It was found out that those victims in prison even do not know what were their case and crime and for how long they will be kept in prison. About the incident the victims told us face to face that what they have done is for the benefit of sick woman as she was brought with request by her relatives and have prayed for healing. A few media have spread the malicious news by diverting the actual incident, the act of prayer is being exaggerated and accused with feeding stool and urine and striping with stinging nettles alleging as witch were itself false and conspiring. The above mentioned people were arrested by the local administration after 3 months of the incident. The victims have told to administration and rightist repeatedly during the investigation period about explaining the actual report happened during occurrence of incident and that they are innocent, despite that they were forcefully made to sign in the paper of which they do not know what was written in the paper, is what have told by the victims. The delegation led by FNCN Chairman Mr. C.B. Gahatraj investigated the detail process and delegations have concluded that those victims in prison are innocent and incident was twisted intentionally and bias. FNCN central committee concluded that needful legal action is required and decision will be taken. Since the country has been declared as secular all ethnics, languages, religion, color and class have right to practice, safeguard and accept and respect the faith is the basic right of the citizens. There is a risk that this type of well designed plan can be happened anytime among the Christian community so we cordially request to be alert and cooperate, participate for securing justice by remaining prayerful and in unity. Consequently, FNCN also humbly request to all human right worker, rightists, and journalists and all concerned body to extend cooperation, for the same case and issue. Consequently, FNCN is taking initiative to free the innocent people, so is going to appeal high court for legal procedure. We appreciate your support to free the innocent people from this case. Falsely accused by Salyan District court for 5 Years, This incident was taken place and publicly broke out on 19th. May 2016, where a mentally abnormal ill Seti Pariyar was thrashed with stinging nettle and fed her stool while was brought at Samuel Church (NIM Gyneshwor Church branch) for prayer in Kubinde-4, Jiamire of Salyan District alleging her as witch. The members of the same Church namely Mr. Suklal Pariyar, Ganga Pariyar, Lali Pun, Bimkali Budha and Rupa Thapa were falsely accused by Salyan District court on 20th. December 2016 where releasing to victim Rupa Thapa other remaining 4 victims were given verdict of 5 years rigorous prison with a fine of Nrs. 50,000.00 each (Fifty Thousands each). There is a risk that this type of well designed plan can be happened anytime among the Christian community In order to find out the actual facts about the incident, a delegation led by FNCN Chairperson Mr. CB Gahatraj with the team members comprising General Secretary, Pastor Padam Parajuli, Spoke person and vice General Secretary Sagar Baiju along with Human Right Representative and Journalist reached in Salyan District Headquarter on 5th. February, 2017. Those prisoners in District Prison were met and inquired about the factual nature of incident from them had a group prayer given commitment to play a role to give needful help for them. Along with all that delegation also visited the incident site met Pastor Paul Sunar , elder Bhim Bahadur Budha and Kundan Thapa (Magar) and also taken detail description from those who were involve during the incident along with Rupa Thapa who was released. Hold an extensive interactory discussion with all the pastors of Salyan district about the incident and taken information from them and discussed and reminded to be cautious in future and be aware and remain in unity to avert such incident to happen.
